BJP Parliamentary Party Meeting Applauds PM Modi for Electoral Triumph
New Delhi: During the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a standing ovation and was honored for the party’s triumph in the Assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh. The meeting, attended by PM Modi and Union ministers S Jaishankar, Amit Shah, and Ashwani Vaishanaw, marked the first gathering of the saffron party in the current Winter Session of Parliament.
Reports suggest that the BJP is considering the appointment of new faces as Chief Ministers in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. However, no official confirmation has been made by the party regarding these appointments. The recent BJP victory in the Hindi heartland, securing impressive mandates in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, has heightened anticipation over the Chief Ministerial posts in these states.
The election outcomes, particularly the losses in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, significantly affected the Congress’s aspirations for the 2024 elections. Currently, the Congress holds power in only three states – Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka.
